Meeting Svetlana!


Two days ago, Ty and I had the privilege to meet Svetlana, Katya and Mariana's mom.  The visit went better than we could have hoped for.  We met in Kyiv and went together to a Ukrainian restaurant and shared a delicious meal.  Then we went bowling altogether for a couple of hours.


We had great fun!  We learned while there that it was Svetlana's first time ever to bowl... in her life!


She was warm and engaging, trying hard to communicate despite the language barrier.  We were all very grateful for the opportunity to meet each other.



Although she is not able to care for the girls it is obvious that she loves them.  

For us, it was a special blessing to get to meet her; one that we never had with the adoption of our Nicholas.  Thank you God for your goodness in all things!
